Builds / Drag Blazer
« on: July 10, 2019, 08:32:00 AM »
So I picked up this 1989 S10 Blazer cheap and my son and I are going to build a little drag toy out of it. I have a 389 Stroker with aluminum heads and a ton of other goodies, T400 transmission with a 3,000-3,500 stall converter and a 250 shot cheater nitrous kit. I've been gathering parts and I'm picking up the tubing to build a cage this week and should have it ready to do some test hits in about a month. Here are a few pictures.

Builds / Big Little Buggy Build
« on: August 27, 2018, 09:25:15 PM »
I started gathering parts to build a buggy and itís getting better by the day. I started out with just a Zuk buggy I got from Michael, a 4.8, 4L80E. Now it looks like itís getting 4 linked front and rear and 14 inch Fox shocks. D60 up front, 14 bolt rear, full hydro steering and I think Iím going to run a doubler. Rickie and I started pulling the engine and trans from the donor vehicle today. Zuk chassis is going to be delivered Saturday. Stand by for a pretty fun build and for sure the best rig Iíve built yet!

Trail Pics & Vids / ZOA 2106 Hangover Run
« on: January 03, 2016, 08:34:39 PM »
Rickie and I took the Jeep out and wheeled with the Zuks of Arizona Club. We ran Upper WP and Upper Ajax. I was able to run just about everything the Zuk buggies did. We found an older guy from Yuma with 3 broken axles on Upper Ajax. Rickie and I ran home and got him my spare axle so he could get going. Here is a video of Upper WP their camera guy left when we started Ajax.

Trail Pics & Vids / Rickie's and Zuks First Trail
« on: November 07, 2015, 03:37:40 PM »
We went out today and ran Elvis as a shake down run for the Zuk and Rickie's first trail. The Zuk performed flawlessly! Rickie did really good as well for his first time. He was able to walk through areas I had to struggle.

General Discussion / ALLOFROADAZ.COM FF2015 Shirts

Tim is putting in another big FF 2015 shirt order besides the one John is doing for shirts similar to last years. He is not taking orders for sizes but will have many sizes available from 3xl down to small.  If you would like a shirt bring cash to purchase them at FF. Dora will be selling them once again this year. Tim is meeting with the vendor today and it looks like we are looking at $10 per shirt again. He also will have beer cozies for $5.

John is having some shirts made locally for FF. Since we don't have the money to do a big order like last year it looks like they will be limited to those who can paypal John the money. PM John on here with the size and quantity you want and for paypal info. I believe he said they will say Florence Fest 2015 on the front and have Got Rocks on the back with another design. He needs the shirt sizes and quantity by the end of the week and payment shortly there after.

CARNAGE!!! / OLM Carnage
« on: August 17, 2015, 07:38:41 AM »
So we ran a new trail and it was much tougher than I had anticipated!  :punchballs: It was an awesome trail but it gave my rig a beat down, but the Jeep made it through! I cut the left rear tire down, and did quite a bit of body damage. The spare also got a chunk out of the sidewall somewhere along the way. Here are some carnage pictures.

General Discussion / New Moderators
« on: July 25, 2015, 07:18:20 PM »
As we start really pressing to get ready for FF 2015, we have decided we need a little help. As this great event grows bigger every year we have decided to bring in two already very active members in the club to be moderators. What does this mean? This means they are going to help monitor the site and make sure that this like every FF is bigger and better than the last one! Please welcome Tony (BowtieBone) and John (toylet) as our newest Global Moderators

Trail Pics & Vids / Possible Trail
« on: April 24, 2015, 04:50:38 PM »
I was out exploring behind Florence and found what looks to be an sweet trail. It has never been ran, but looks doable. It will take a pretty will built rig and a big pair of nuts though. There will be some big climbs, drop offs and some crazy off camber obstacles. It is very narrow in spots and most guaranteed body damage and  maybe much more! Here are a few shots I took.

Builds / Jayco Pop Up Camper
« on: January 28, 2015, 08:33:16 AM »
I helped a friend of mine move the other day and he gave me his pop up camper as he has an old camper for hunting and just got a nice 5th wheel toy hauler. It had a broken cable and wouldn't go up or down but I already fixed that. Needs very little work to be ready to use. Has a stove and table that can be used inside or outside. Two full size beds and the table folds into a bed as well. It sits really low so when I have some more time I am going to see what I need to do to lift it.

All Other Events / 2015 Table Mesa Clean Up
« on: January 25, 2015, 07:49:38 PM »
I found a link to the 2015 Table Mesa Clean up.  I believe we should try to get as many people out there as possible. Not just because we wheel there but also to do a little wheeling afterward! I know 99% of the trash out there isn't from wheelers but mostly shooters. Bottom line is the way things are going this area will be shut down in order to keep it clean.  Lets do what we can to help keep this area open for a long as we can. :2cents:

Table Mesa Cleanup Project... Want to help?
March 1, 2015 8:00 A.M. - 2:00 P.M.
The area is popular with recreational target shooters, off-highway vehicle riders, equestrians, mountain bikers, hikers, and others because it's close to metro Phoenix. Unfortunately, this area is also prone to illegal dumping, littering, and debris that needs to be cleaned up.
Please bring water, work gloves, hat, sunscreen, trash pinchers, buckets and wear long pants and sturdy shoes. 4WD and OHV vehicles are useful.

General Discussion / Meet and Greet
« on: January 21, 2015, 08:31:01 AM »
We have been talking about a possible meet and greet. Sit down do some BSing eat and just hang out. Who is interested? Ideas on location? JYD only has Thursdays off so leaning towards that day.

Builds / 86 Tin Top Zuk
« on: December 02, 2014, 06:36:25 AM »
So Rickie got this 86 Suzuki Samurai after pulling weeds for 2 days for Tim.  :o  It already has lockers in both axles and has a SPOA (spring over axle) lift. Rickie and I hooked all the brakes back up an got them bleed and in working order Sunday night. Last night we started removing the ugly fender flares and brackets. We also got the door hinges on the driver side door modified to remove the doors. I think until he learns to drive and understands wheeling a little more I'm going to leave it at the height it is right now. I plan on putting 235/75R15 tires on it for now. We are going to go ahead and build the roll cage and rock sliders for when he is ready for a lift and bigger tires. Here are a couple pictures of the progress.

Trail Runs / The Road to Florence Fest Campsite
« on: October 30, 2014, 05:52:37 PM »
As you know you take Price Rd. from HWY 79 and follow it until you reach the campsite on your right side. We ran a few trails and checked out the road on Sunday to see how everything looked. Due to all the flooding and rain over that last few months the road to the campsite got wiped out just past the old campsite. It was almost difficult to follow at times. It certainly wasn't going to be good enough for trailers or RV's. I was able to get Jason to come out with his tractor and we spent several hours repairing the road in order to make it passable for trailers and RV's. I need to do just a little more but it will be ready by FF. I will mark the road with ribbon just past to old camp site to help keep you on track. I would recommend if you are bring a trailer or RV you come when it is light out enough to see so you don't get mixed up and tear up you stuff. As always keep you speed down on the entire road into the campsite but especially where there are homes! A special thanks to Jason for bringing out his tractor and helping clear the road....even though he will most likely not be there this year to wheel.

General Discussion / FF 2014 T-shirts
« on: October 27, 2014, 07:32:17 AM »
We are looking at getting some shirts made for Florence Fest. Looking to get the logo on the back and FF 2014 on the front. Before we spend a bunch of money on shirts we need to know who would like one. Looks like the price will be $10-15 each for good cotton t-shirts. Post up if you would like one and the size or sizes you need. We will need to have these ordered by Wednesday 10/29/14.  Sorry for the short notice.

Most of us have tattoo's so lets see them especially if you got something new! I just got the first plot of my sleaves. I'm going to a whole grave yard scene on both arms starting at my wrists and go just past my elbows.

General Discussion / Old Wheeling Pictures
« on: May 10, 2014, 08:30:18 AM »
Lets see those old wheeling pictures! Here one from 2009 I was still learning to adjust to the buggy leaf set up...that day I under estimated it. The bad thing about the whole deal is I had ice cold water spilling out of the ice chest in my ear and Bubba farting  as he was laughing!
