For me built C5 YJ and the TJ is where it's at. Not a fan at all of the new JK built or not.

I have wheeled with stock and modified and wasn't inpressed at all. Too low and too long! I think the short and narrow wheelbase is what has always made the Jeep a great wheeler, the JK has neither!

i have two issues with the new JK Wranglers. 1. Minivan motors. 2. a lot more refined than any previous Jeep. That doesnt mean its not capable, just not as capable as the TJ's, but more comfortable to actually drive everyday, hence the extreme jump in sales. It is a bit bigger, which doesnt really hurt, because going from really small to kinda small, not huge. The crazy thing is how quickly the aftermarket has already caught up with them. You can go anywhere and buy literally anything your heart desires for these trucks already, so upgrades and customizations are limitless. If you want one, wait till 2011 when they get the new motors. 3.8L min-van motors are reliable and decent powered, but not enough low end torque.

I think with all things Automotive it depends on what your gonna use it for. Is it the ideal Rock Crawler? No!! but neither is a Full Size Blazer. I think its niche is a double duty commuter, as well as an occasional light offroad toy. IDK im more of a larger vehicle type of person so maybe thats why this Jeep appeals to me over the others.

You didn't miss anything just goofing off. Lets get this thread back on topic. That black four door JK looks pretty good. Still wouldn't own one though.

I think that might be a selling point if Chrysler had the Hemi option I'm sure it will sell even more than it already is.

Probably check AEV's site. They do the hemi swaps in the JK's. I'm sure cost would be comparable to what the dealer would charge. At least with the dealer u can get it financed.

I'm just tired of Jeeps in general. I'm ready to move onto the buggy life and never look back.

The dealership will install a hemi into Jeep Wranglers if you got the money. Mopar performance does have the conversion kits and you can have them do it. power chrysler at I-17 and Bell has done a few before, one of the workers there was telling us about them.
