The Road to Florence Fest Campsite
« on: October 30, 2014, 05:52:37 PM »
As you know you take Price Rd. from HWY 79 and follow it until you reach the campsite on your right side. We ran a few trails and checked out the road on Sunday to see how everything looked. Due to all the flooding and rain over that last few months the road to the campsite got wiped out just past the old campsite. It was almost difficult to follow at times. It certainly wasn't going to be good enough for trailers or RV's. I was able to get Jason to come out with his tractor and we spent several hours repairing the road in order to make it passable for trailers and RV's. I need to do just a little more but it will be ready by FF. I will mark the road with ribbon just past to old camp site to help keep you on track. I would recommend if you are bring a trailer or RV you come when it is light out enough to see so you don't get mixed up and tear up you stuff. As always keep you speed down on the entire road into the campsite but especially where there are homes! A special thanks to Jason for bringing out his tractor and helping clear the road....even though he will most likely not be there this year to wheel.

Thank you chuck and Jason and I think all us with Rv and trailers need to give chuck a few bucks for the fuel he had to pay for

The wife and I went out today and hung orange ribbon and FF 2014 signs to guide the way. The road is pretty nice getting to the campsite. There has also been about 300 head of cattle dropped off back there for free grazing so be careful not to hit one.

FF2015 will be at the same camp site as last year. Take Price rd until it turns into Box Canyon rd and heads North. It is the big spot at the top of the hill on the right. We will have markers out for easy directions.
