Wanted / Re: i need a 350
« on: December 31, 2014, 06:28:22 AM »
If your looking for a block, I've got a assembled 350 on my run stand. It came out of a 75 k10. I have a video of it running. The bottom end looks great but it is a 2 piece rear main seal, and a hydraulic flat tappet cam. I've also got a 89 350 block that is disassembled but has speed pro pistons .30 over with 9:1 cr. and provisions for a roller cam (bosses for the lifter plate in the valley) both I'm not sure on mileage, but pm me if your interested.

The 89 I drove home from queen creek to north Phoenix when I bought it, but it had a bad valve and smoked a little. Bottom end is perfect.

The 75 had some head issues as well, but it did run, as a mule when I built my stand.

Vendors or Shops you would recommend / LED Lights
« on: July 25, 2013, 09:34:54 AM »
Hey fellas, I've been working on a couple of projects and have come across a great source for reasonably priced LED's.  So far i have made rock lights, dome lights, and taillights with no issues from the product or the seller. Company is Horsepower Juice, i found them on pirate 4x4 (bigredkacy) a while back and i cant believe how well these lights are doing. Here are some pics of the lights, and the different uses i have found for them.

The size is small enough for almost any application.

They come on a strand with a few inches in between, to increase the length, the best way i found was simple solder and heat shrink.

Here is how i made the taillights for my trans am.

Just to show you all of the lights with the lens back on. Brighter than stock, that's for sure.

For my rock lights i used 8 in the front, then 1 every 12"s on the frame.

Here my dome light has 4 tucked in the original housing, its ridiculous when you open your door in the middle of the night!

Also did i mention there completely waterproof!!! They have been on my truck for over a year now without a single problem.

Since there LED the draw very little power, and i have to admit my stupidty has left them on all night, next morning the truck started without an issue!

I wish i had a video of the truck going down the I-17, i light up all 4 lanes like its daylight.
Here is a link to the the guys website, .
$35 gets you 20 of the white led squares, he also has amber, red, blue, and green. The blue and red i have, and its scary how bright they are in the dark   :pimpwink:
I also just noticed he has started to sell LED light bars, and led light strips at a great price, definitely my next purchase.

i have done several orders with this guy, and every time the customer service is great, and fast shipping.

If you do decide to order some, go threw pirate he usually offers 20% off SOME TIMES, but still there cheap enough as is.

Any questions or comments let me know! Thanks.

Chevy / Diesel powered 350 TBI
« on: October 17, 2012, 09:11:36 AM »
As some of you know i have been working on my crew cab for the last year.  The truck use to have a 6.2 diesel with a 32 gallon fuel cell, so i did a 350 tbi swap, drained the tank, and proceeded with plumbing it with -6 stainless steel.  During assembly i put a total of 13 gallons of premium in it for testing. I've started it several times in the last month, it did smoke but i figured the tank had a little diesel left in it so i carried on.  Finally this past Saturday everything was ready for a road test to circle k.  As i drove there i realized the fuel gauge said 3/4 of a tank, so i figured my adjustable fuel sending unit was a little out of whack.  Driving was about as funny as it gets, it smoked liked a freight train, missed, and no power.  As i arrived to the k i filled up my tank with premium, the only problem was it took only 12 gallons!    So all together i put 25 gallons of premium in it, probably lost a gallon or two during testing and replacing lines, so lets say 24 gallons of premium.  8 gallons of diesel was still in there!  :punchballs: I pulled the brand new plugs, and they were BLACK, and dripping in oil (still running them).  It started to get better slowly, less and less smoke with every mile, and now i can bark the tires going into 3rd.  I filled up again yesterday and went threw 21 gallons.  Now my question to y'all is the list before Florence Fest.
1. New Plugs
2. New Fuel Filters
3. New o2 Sensor
4. Seafoam

      Anything i'm missing?

Been driving it back and forth to work all week, been doing good except it misses when the temp is below 170, once it hits 180, smooth as silk. Laugh away, i know dumb mistake for not rinsing that tank out before hand.
