Well, I'm commited
« on: May 11, 2012, 09:06:06 PM »
Well, I'm commited to cutting the back of my blazer off and 4 linking it.  I just bought the 4 link kit from ruff stuff.  it was originally $678 but with the 20% off coupon i was able to get it for $550.  I just need to do all the work and get some links and air shocks.  http://www.ruffstuffspecialties.com/catalog/4LKTUBE.html
I reserve this thread for all the fab work i am going to be doing.  I warn you in advance it won't all be good and i will be looking for a lot of input.
I will say this now.  If I can do this and I haven't done anything yet and it works, then anybody will be able to do this.
stay tuned for what is sure to be a lot of laughs and jokes made in my direction.  I think i'm ready

btw if anybody comes across some 18" travel air shocks, I am looking for some

just all bad luck at this point.  whatever is the worst that can happen will

Very cool Eryc, I know how you feel jumping into such a big project without doing it. Love the ambition and drive you have, that's how we all learn to build this sh** is just jumping in and doing it
Not sure I can be much knowledgable help, but anything I can help with let me know.....I for sure can help to keep the liquids flowing your way lol

Get the CAD file from Jake that Matt did on his K5 & similar setup on my buggy. His rig has worked pretty well and is really stable on vertical stuff. Mine has been great sofar. I am really happy with the way mine has worked. If you want help or want me to come by and help with brainstorming let me know.

You will be happy when it is all done. If you have questions or want to look at my junk again or Matt's "buggied" K5 junk let me know.
