Steve and Brandon helped me (well basically did it all) so i owe them a huge thanks .  Steve was making good progress on the u-joints and ball joints, when Brandon showed up and we opened the carrier.  right away they noticed the carrier bearing races weren't looking too good.  seemed that they got had.  so we finally got the carrier out and upon looking at the bearings they came to the conclusion that the bearings were good.  after more and more inspection (that they were doing) they came to the conclusion i would fine to just buy new races.  so we're off to try and find the parts needed.  I think we also needed a pinion bearing and seal and inner shaft seals as well.  we were able to find everything at NAPA and i got good pricing (thanks Brandon).
Now it's time to put everything back in.  Steve got everything setup with the help of Brandon and now everything is complete and almost ready for install.
Sandblasted and painted the axles bright yellow, bought some spring plates, u-bolts and wheels & tires and the swap was complete.  I
also did a shackle flip and added an ord quick disconnect sway bar.
for the driveshaft i had to get an s44 to 1350 ujoint from napa precision part #447.

this is here for my reference lol
I wish i would have taken more pics, but this is all i have so far of the axle process.
i have learned a crap ton on this and appreciate everybody that has helped me along the way no matter how big or small the help was.

i have had a lot of helpful links that i will post here along the way

http://www.barnes4wd.com for u-bolt sizes and specs as well as spring plates
http://www.pirate4x4.com/tech/billavista/14b_bible/index.html - 14 bolt bible
http://completeoffroad.com/i-122793-lockright-powertrax-30-spline-pt2410.html - cheap lockrite for the d44
http://www.coloradok5.com/axleswap.shtml - a swap of the same axles i was doing

I have also had a few [problems with breaking tcase adapters but chuck and patrick noticed my front cross member was broke and chuck welded that up for me.  i haven't broke another adapter since then.  I also recently blew up my transmission so i currently have my transmission out and picking up my new one today (surprise)!!!!!  i'm anxious to get this rig back on the trails.
i will be posting some random pics of upgrades and projects i have done on the blazer.

since the axle swap i have done most of the work myself, with exception of the locker and some random things chuck and patrick have helped me with.  i can do most of the work on my truck myself now
