if you can live with an auto its not to bad...i want a stick which cuased me to do the interior...the only other issue is the clearance for the radiator, you would have to modify the core support a lot

electrical- i bought a stand a lone engine harness from FORDFUELINJECTION.COM ..it only connects to the truck with 4 wires ( hot, ign hot, tach, fuel pump)

i havent really gotton anything pic worthy done yet except tires..will get the dash complete this weekend and hope to get the motor started..

I'm really happy to see a V8 swap with the distributor on the correct end of the engine.

the RET is sold allready. and yeah...im building it as an expicrawler. im kinda getting burnt out on rock crawling and would like to start doin more long expedition style trips.( rubicon, colarado, moab...etc) thats why i went with a 5.0, so i could cruise down the freeway at 75 and not have to down shift goin up hills

ive been drivin it around in FWD on the weekends too try and get a couple bugs worked out. just picked up my rear shaft today so ill be able to get it up to speed now .

hoping to get a shakedown run in on monday

UPDATE:

so im done and ive been wheeling every weekend this month.

first shakedown run i lost a rear shock some on the road to the trail, and i forgot to put a cap on the power steering pump...so i lost all my fluid and almost caught the truck on fire.

then the weekend before last i broke the input shaft on my rear case

so i torn down the case and swaped spare parts around to creat 1 good stock cases so i could wheel this weekend...this weekend went well and didnt have any issues...
